BEWARE THIS BUYER LAWLZ!!!
It seems there has been an influx of AVOID BUYER/SELLER posts, and I'm hopping on, because I feel pretty strongly. I'd hate for anyone else to get screwed over. ( winxlover001 of youtube )As of now, I just have to prove to PayPal that I did indeed ship the item, but that doesn't guarantee I'll get the money back. I don't see why it matters if it was a stolen credit card. I know ripjevanwinkle has had some issues with her too but I'm not really sure what all that entailed. If you have had any issues with this user, feel free to talk about it here. She seems to only be interested in Sailor Moon related items. http://www.youtube.com/user/winxlover001 Current Mood: aggravated |

FAQ: RED Yes. I wrote a short graphic novel — really more of a novelette or short story — called RED. It was illustrated brilliantly by Cully Hamner. It was a creator-owned work. Summit Entertainment acquired the film rights last year.
And, yes, according to Variety, Morgan Freeman is now in talks to co-star in the putative film adaptation alongside Bruce Willis.
And now you know about as much as I do. Heh.
Wasn’t expecting this to pop up the day before I leave for San Diego. Check the previous post for my San Diego FAQ.

Custom Chibi-Moon Wand (Lights up and has sound!) WIP
So I know the poor girl gets ragged on....alot. And while going treasure hunting I bought a huuuuge lot of these magical wands that just were perfect for Chib-Moons Pink Sugar Wand (Will be doing a midget Spiral Moon Heart Rod too for those interested in a set or Moons wand instead). They light up and make sound that sounds Sailor Moon-ish. I wanted to gauge interest as these would be mainly cosplay props and an alternative to those money challenged moonies to get in on the action. Here is a progress pic, I'm only missing the small star that goes on top and the wings that go right on the bottom of the gold edge. I was thinking about offering SMF a special offer as I'm taking them to eBay as well. For SMF I will do 10$ shipped, on eBay I'm going to be asking 15$ shipped. This is relatively cheap for a prop that lights up and makes sound, plus its lightweight plastic and pretty sturdy, with replaceable batteries :D SIDE NOTE: I have 1 ONLY 1 non-working Chibi-Moon wand, I will be willing to let this one go, painted and all accessories added for just 7$ shipped to the first person who asks for it. Here ya go....finally the pic: |

HPA Featured in L.A . Times http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/2009/7/20/hpa-featured-in-la-times The ongoing efforts of the Harry Potter Alliance are featured again in the press, this time in a new article from the L.A. Times. Noting again the charitable and social awareness activities and campaigns by the group, the piece points out that the HPA and Harry Potter fans "accomplishments include signing up new voters at Wizard Rock the Vote events, collecting over 13,000 donated books to give... |

Shy moonie intro
Yo there! I'm mostly a lurker, but I've seen a few intros here and there lately, so I figured I'd throw mine in as well since I've been part of this community for about a month now. My name is Kitteh and my gf Neo talked me into joining. I have no idea why I didn't join before. I got into SailorMoon a long time ago when it came on at around six in the morning. I only saw one show and was then hooked. Never saw it again until it came on Toonami. I loved it and couldn't get enough of it. My favorite scout was Mercury because at the time my favorite color was blue. As the show went on I grew a liking to Saturn and have loved her ever since. The few items I own are a little plastic, chibi figure of Mercury. A keychain of Mercury. A mini SailorMoon bookbag that's orange and blue with the japanese writing on the straps. And the dubbed movies on VHS. I have no idea where these items (except the movies) are stashed because we used to move a lot around VA during the years. They're most likely in boxes. Anyway, I won't ramble anymore. Just wanted to introduce myself :3 nice meeting you all. Current Mood: nerdyCurrent Music: Repo! The Genetic Opera - Zydrate Anatomy | Powered by Last.fm |

Poor Susan. I keep meaning to make her a body and some legs and a decent heart, but for now I've put her head in a giant glass jar in the bedroom with the big mirror on my dresser opposite her. That way when I look in the mirror to comb my hair or whatever, I see her staring at me from over my shoulder. Funny how I had much more time at age 23 to make clones than I do now. The other problem is that I've been sidetracked with another project that I'm having a lot of fun with. Jon gave me a dozen canvases or so for Christmas and I thought that I would use all of them for a single theme. I waited around for the right theme to come to me and it did: I decided to depict the dominant/most interesting/ top predator/ cutest species from each of the periods, epochs, and what have you from the geologic timescale- you know, like the Jurassic period and the Pleistocene epoch- everybody's heard of those ones. But there are a bunch of them, and depending on how meticulous you want to be, you can subdivide them nearly as much as you want to. I decided to jump right in, but I wanted to have at least some decorum in this thing and so I decided to do them in order. So normally that would be the Cambrian period of the Paleozoic era of the Phanerzoic eon, since that's when animals stopped being blobs and started to look- well, not like animals as we know them today, but they definitely looked like *something*. But I wanted to start with the very, very beginning and so I had to go with that eon before the Phanerzoic, formerly known as "precambrian", but which is now divided into Hadean, Archaean, and Proterozoic eons. I know that to someone who is less impatient than I am to get into the good stuff- the Cambrian period- there are plenty of life forms of interest, most of them prokaryotic, most of them unicellular, but I decided to celebrate the precambrian eon with what I chose to be the most representative species of the time. And so I give you- ~545 MYA: ROCK Welcome to the precambrian era. This is the Rock. There wasn't much around except other rocks in those days, but the Rock was quite content with that. It was the Age of Rocks, after all. Sure there were life forms floating around in that forbidding, smoldering primordial soup, but they were insignificant compared to the Rock, by far and away the dominant species. In every kids' science book I've ever read that deals with the earth origins and life origins, there is *always* an erupting volcano in the background and usually meteors as well, so I wanted my painting to be as accurate as possible. Then again, in those same kids' science books, there is an erupting volcano in the background of every single period in the geologic timescale up until and through the Cretaceous period. Apparently the Age of Mammals that exploded after the extinction of the dinosaurs forever extinguished those ancient flames that had burned endlessly for 485 million years straight. But right now, in the precambian, this rock has no fear of new brothers and sisters ceasing to slide from the Great Mother Volcano's mighty mound in a gush of searing red birthwaters. Times were good for rocks back then. This rock has even learned to speak, albeit not well. All it can speak of during this eon is rock. And this more than enough. So there you go. Stay tuned and I'll show you my first living thing from the Cambrian period. That's when things really start to pick up. |

Public Opinion
My man and I are getting married in October, and (after we've paid off the wedding bills) we're going to use any money we get to invest in a heat press which are used to make high quality shirts. Point of the post: I have NO idea what's popular with anime fans today. I stopped paying attention to what was 'in' about 5 years ago. Due to the fact that I don't want my rear sued to eternity, the ideas need to be generic in nature. For example for Sailormoon shirts I was going to use stylized planetary symbols and lockets. One thing I plan on doing is to market shirt to plus size girls. Being one myself, I was always upset that when I go to cons I'm stuck with either black shirts in men's styles or riffling through the 3 'girls' styles that don't go past Large. While most ladies style shirts aren't available in larger sizes in all colors, I can find them in more than just white and black. So, what would YOU like to see on a shirt? |

Soliciting RPG Board Help
I've been trying to make my RPG board successful for like a year and a half now, with no luck. I'm hoping some of you can look it over and try to help diagnose the problem. My original idea was for a game of Intergalactic Sailor War, which could encompass characters of all types from all over not just the Milky Way, but other galaxies as well. Sounds like a kickass idea, right? I thought so, too, and would still be running it today, except to be successful with that kind of broad focus you need a crapton of people, which I never got. I rebooted the story with a more narrow focus on the Senshi of only the Asgaard system and a Norse Mythology theme. I would like to get a lot of in-fighting going, kind of a "Senshi Ragnarok" thing. A lot of people seem to really like this theme, but most of the compliments I get are from people who say it's cool but then never join, or join but then never make and play a chara, which doesn't help the site's health much. I would really rather not have to reboot the site again with another theme, because I like this one and the characters created for it a lot. I especially would rather not do an Earth-based game focusing on Sol Senshi, because nearly every game out there is like that. I thought my niche would be in having something more unusual and interesting, so that would help draw people to play in it. I feel I would lose much more in integrity than anything I might gain in members by conforming to the usual type of game, you know? Hopefully I can get some ideas of what I'm doing wrong so I can make it better and make the site the kind of success I want it to be. I hear URLs help with these requests, so here's mine: Asgaardian Senshi. Thank you in advance for whatever help you may be. Current Mood: determined |
